The PTA brings family and community together at Ocean Air with events and school programs as needed each year. This year events include the Back to School BBQ, International Night, Talent Show, Sweetheart Dance and Field Day and are all sponsored and coordinated by the PTA. PTA also uses funds to provide a yearly gift to school. Previous gifts include teacher microphones during the pandemic, shade structures, new classroom furniture, and sports equipment. All gifts are determined based on need by the school administration.
Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF)
DMSEF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises money to support the STEAM+ program in the Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD). DMSEF funds the STEAM+ teachers who include the talented staff teaching Science, Spanish, Physical Education, Art, and Music. Each child will receive education weekly in the five included programs throughout the school year.

Why Should I Donate to Both PTA and dmsef?
We need both! PTA and DMSEF work as a team to support DMUSD in providing an excellent and fun learning environment for the students. A way to think of it is PTA provides financial support by paying for supplies and equipment and DMSEF provides funding to pay for the teachers. For example, PTA pays for the microscopes and DMSEF pays for the science teacher.
